Worth being upfront about, not just favourable comparisons: Flatmates.com.au's scale is real — 40,000+ active listings monthly and REA Group's backing (the company behind realestate.com.au) is a genuine advantage a newer platform like Flathive is still building toward. If speed and sheer audience size matter most to you and you're comfortable with weaker verification and a higher scam-exposure trade-off, Facebook Marketplace and local flatmate groups will likely surface more responses faster — that's the trade-off, not a myth.
